The girls scouts of Princeton New Jersey earned their “make the world a better place” badge by making Joy Boxes for children in local hospitals!
Children doing kind things for other children? What more can we ask for! The girls scouts of Princeton teamed up with Mother and Son duo, the founders of the Spread the Joy Foundation, to earn their “make the world kinder” badge. Children first discussed the immense gratitude they had for their health, families and well being and then brainstormed ideas about they could help children at the hospital. “Play-doh” exclaimed one child! “How about markers and construction paper”said another! Excitedly, they completed one box each that would be donated on their behalf, to a hospitalized child.

It was an incredible learning experience for the children. And most importantly, they completed their task with utmost pride and JOY.
